Sorry Friday, Oct 17 2008

Okay, okay I had too much fun at Bayfest (and before) and have fallen down on my job.  But never fear, I’m just in time for the next exciting event the fair starts tonight!  Great food and fun for kids and adults.  There is also an entertainment stage that will be featuring acts such as Top of the Orange, Jeff Bates, The Molly Ringwalds, and Keith Anderson (he is really HOT!).  The fair runs through next weekend.  The Los Lonely Boys will be playing at the historic Saenger Theatre in Mobile on Tuesday, October 21.  Tickets are $27.50 and $32.50.

One of the more exciting happens will be Hank Williams, Jr at the Wharf Ampitheater in Orange Beach on Saturday November 1.  The Wharf has a great venue and atmosphere, should be a good show.  Tickets range from $21.50 to $56.00.

For those of us who had to make the tough decision during Bayfest of Kid Rock or Buckcherry and of course chose Kid Rock (yes, he was absolutely wonderful, as always). Buck’s coming back!  Well, not to Mobile and probably never to Bayfest:) but to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi.  Biloxi is a quick 45 minute trip and is also a great venue (you can ask Dr. Motley).

More soon.  Have a GREAT weekend!

Final Bayfest Line Up Announced Friday, Sep 5 2008

The final Bayfest line up was in the paper this morning.  New announcements include:Bow Wow and Nelly on the Miller Lite Stage.  On the AT&T stage Darius Rucker and Wynonna.  The Pepsi stage has a huge line up: Top of the Orange, Three Days Grace, Candlebox, Sister Hazel and Better Than Ezra.  The Murphy High School Jazz Ensemble will be playing in the Jazz tent.

Remember, Bayfest is a great place to check out our local talent and rising stars.  Theresa Anderson will be on the Launching Pad.  Having recently seen her at Callahan’s, I promise she is worth seeing live.

Don’t forget to get your weekends passes in advance and save some cash!
